Privacy Policy
Last updated 30 July 2026
ThisDay has no servers, no account and no analytics. Everything you put into it stays on your device and, if you turn on sync, in your own iCloud. We never receive it.
What we collect
Nothing. Akila Studio does not operate a backend for ThisDay, so there is no place for your data to arrive. We cannot read your tasks, notes, voice memos, photos, calendar or health data, because they are never sent to us.
Where your data lives
On your device. If you enable iCloud sync, your data is also stored in your personal iCloud account so it can reach your other devices. That storage is governed by Apple’s iCloud terms and privacy policy, and it is your account, not ours.
Permissions the app asks for
Each one is requested at the moment it is needed, never at launch.
- Apple Health: read-only, and only for the sources you point a habit at. ThisDay never writes to Health, and health data is never shared, sold, or used for advertising. It is read on your device to decide whether a habit is complete, and nothing else.
- Calendars: so your existing events can appear in your day. Read on your device.
- Microphone: to record voice notes, which are saved on your device.
- Photos: to attach a picture to a day in Moments.
- Notifications: to deliver the reminders you set. Scheduled on your device.
You can withdraw any of these at any time in the Settings app. The rest of ThisDay keeps working without them.
Third parties
ThisDay contains no advertising, no third-party analytics and no tracking SDKs. Nothing you do in the app is shared with anyone.
Children
ThisDay is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them. Or, for that matter, from anyone.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the date above changes with it. Material changes will be noted in the app’s release notes.
