Reminders and notifications
Any item with a time reminds you at that time. Early alerts, notification sound, and what to do when reminders do not arrive.
In ThisDay any item can remind you, not only tasks. A voice note, a photo, a note or a place can ring at the time you give it.
How a reminder is set
An item with a time reminds you at that time. Give the item a time on its page, and it will notify you then. An item with only a day does not ring.
Early alerts
An event can also alert you a while before it starts. Choose Early alert on the event's page. Events from your other calendars can carry an early alert from ThisDay too, even when they have their own alarm.
Notification sound
Settings, Notifications chooses the sound ThisDay uses.
Live Activities
On iPhone, an item with a time can show on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island from 15 minutes before it starts until it ends. See Widgets, Apple Watch and Live Activities.
Not getting reminders?
- Check that notifications are allowed for ThisDay in the iOS Settings app, under Notifications.
- Check that the item has a time, not only a day.
- Check Focus: a Focus that silences ThisDay holds its notifications until it ends.
- Open ThisDay once after restoring a device or a backup, so it can schedule its reminders again.
