ThisDay 3.0: one day, on every screen
ThisDay 3.0 is a redesign: Days, a Library, SiriAI, search that reaches everything, iPhone Duo, and a Mac app that works with AI agents.

ThisDay 3.0 is the biggest update since I started. It is a redesign of the whole app for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac: your day and your calendar become one screen called Days, a new Library keeps everything you collect, SiriAI answers questions about your days on your device, and the Mac app can now work with AI agents. It is free to update.
Why I redesigned it
ThisDay began as one idea: everything you keep belongs to a day. Tasks, events, notes, voice notes, photos, habits and places, on one timeline, in the order the day happens. That idea held up. The app around it had grown in layers, though. Today was one screen, the calendar another, the Inbox and Someday two more, and every new feature found a corner to live in.
For 3.0 I went back to the idea and rebuilt the app around it.
Days: one screen from a day to the year
Today and the calendar are now one screen. A ruler at the top slides it out from one day to a few, the week, the month and the year, and a tap on any day comes back into it. There is no second place to look for what is coming.
The Library
What you keep without a day now has a home: notes, voice notes, pictures, places, countdowns, your medals and tasks you are keeping for later, each on a shelf of its own. The Inbox lives there too, with Auto sort to file it in one go, and the Logbook is its last shelf.
SiriAI
SiriAI is an assistant built on Apple Intelligence that knows your days. Ask what is left this week, when you last went running, or how a habit is going, and it answers with your own items and a chart. It runs on your device. You can also ask from Siri, with "Ask ThisDay".
Search that reaches everything
Pull down on any screen and search finds anything you have written, past items included. Write a category or a kind into the field to narrow it, or jump straight to any screen.
A calmer, bolder look
White pages, every item on its own card, one colour for each kind of thing, and icons drawn for ThisDay. Every item opens on the same page: when it happens, written as a sentence you can tap, and everything else as pills under it. The widgets and the Apple Watch app are redrawn to match. Liquid Glass is still there as a switch in Settings; the app is solid by default.
Made for iPhone Duo
On the folding iPhone, the Day Bar becomes a rail in the camera column. Open, the sidebar stays beside your day and item pages spread over two columns. I wrote about it in detail in ThisDay on iPhone Duo.
The Mac, at 3.0 too
The Mac app jumps from 1.0 to 3.0, so both apps share one number. It gets the whole redesign, quick add from any app with Option Command N, and an MCP server so agents like Claude can read and change your day. More in Letting AI agents into your day.

Questions
Is ThisDay 3.0 a free update?
Yes. Everyone who has ThisDay gets 3.0 for free. Tasks stay free for good after the trial, and if you bought ThisDay Pro, it covers everything new in 3.0 on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch with no extra purchase and no subscription.
What do I need for SiriAI?
SiriAI needs iOS 26 or later on a device with Apple Intelligence, turned on, in a language Apple Intelligence speaks. It is part of ThisDay Pro. It is not available in Russian or Polish yet, and on other devices the rest of ThisDay works as before.
Will my data move to the new design by itself?
Yes. Nothing to export or import. Your items, categories, habits and their streaks are all where they were, now drawn the 3.0 way. If you sync with iCloud, every device picks up the same data as it updates to 3.0.
Is the Mac update free too?
Yes. If you own ThisDay for Mac, 3.0 is a free update with the redesign, quick add and the MCP server for AI agents. The Mac app is still its own one-time purchase for people who do not have it yet.
